HighlightsAnimal model of SM was established by equal toxicity dose (1LD50)‐induced acute pulmonary injury in rats using two methods.Serum inflammatory factors and proteins in alveolar septa of the intraperitoneal SM group were increased.The effects of SM may be related to its rapid absorption from the peritoneal cavity.
