DERMOSCOPIC APPEARANCE Accumulated scales around hair roots, black dots, and bar codeelike hairs with horizontal white bands were observed by polarized dermoscopy. Bright-green fluorescence in hair shafts and brightwhite fluorescence of accumulated scales were observed by ultraviolet dermoscopy. Notably, the bright-white fluorescence disappeared at the white bands of the bar codeelike hairs (Fig 2).
