Abstract We investigate the structural, magnetic, and dielectric properties of Aurivillius Bi 5 FeTi 3-3 x (WCr 2 ) x O 15 (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.15) multiferroic ceramics. All the samples can be determined to be an orthorhombic structure and space group of A2 1 am . The magnetic measurements reveal that the short-range antiferromagnetic exchange interaction can be strengthened by doping Cr 3+ ions at Ti sites. The ferroelectric Curie temperature T c decreases from 1013 K to 965 K. One dielectric relaxation dates from the long-range motion of oxygen vacancies can be observed in all the samples. However, the doped samples exhibit another one dielectric relaxation, which is relate to the localized hopping process of electrons. In addition, the dc conduction behavior in all the samples can be attributed to the long-range motion of oxygen vacancies.
