Abstract Entrepreneurship has enormous economic and social power, but when a crisis strikes, exploring the relationships and impacts between entrepreneurship and crisis (E&C) is a topic that still needs to be considered in a turbulent economic environment. This study aims to explore the topic of E&C by means of bibliometric analysis with the aid of visualization tools. From 1984 to 2020, 1044 documents were indexed according to the Web of Science database. Through the bibliometric analysis of the retrieved literature, the main statistical characteristics and cooperation networks in this field are revealed. Next, research topics, hot spots, and development trends are revealed through keyword analysis. Finally, policy implications and research opportunities are proposed to provide references for other scholars.
