INTRODUCTION Dermatomyositis is an autoinflammatory condition associated with pathognomonic cutaneous findings often involving extensor surfaces, including Gottron papules overlying interphalangeal andmetacarpophalangeal joints andGottron sign on knuckles, knees, and elbows. These and other areas may develop ulceration, which is associated with significant pain, disability, and poorer disease control in dermatomyositis. Here we present a case of a patient with dermatomyositis who developed plaques and ulcers on the bilateral aspect of her buttocks while deescalating her immunosuppression.
