Abstract The rotationally symmetric spacelike translating solitons for the MCF in the Minkowski space are considered in this paper. To be specific, the complete classification for such translating solitons according to their rotation axes, which are timelike, spacelike and lightlike, is provided. In particular, the explicit parametrization of the rotationally symmetric spacelike hypersurface of the lightlike rotation axis with the prescribed mean curvature is obtained.
