We report a case of a woman age 28 years who presented with acute abdomen and symptoms mimicking those of ruptured hemorrhagic cyst. However, laparoscopy revealed chylous ascites (Figs. 1 5). As it was not associated with any etiology, we deemed it idiopathic. Only a few cases of acute chylous ascites have been reported
