• Meropenem + methylprednisolone IV 1 gm/day for 3 days  Improvement of symptoms was noted Case Presentation Figure 1. Noncontrast T2-weighted cranial MRI of the patient. 1A. On week 1 while the patient was symptomatic. Axial views showing high signal intensities (see yellow arrows) noted on the right side of medulla (i), pons (ii), and midbrain (iii). Vasogenic edema was evident mainly on sagittal view (iv). 1B. After 3 weeks of admission when resolution of symptoms was noted. Diminished signal intensities were noted on the right side of medulla (i), pons (ii), and midbrain (iii). Decreasing severity of edema from the previously reported (iv). No other hyperintensities or edema in other areas of the brain was noted.
