He worked on energy and climate change policy for World Resources Institute, the White House Council on Environmental Quality, and NERA Economic Consulting. Previously, he served as Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Energy and Climate Change on the Staff of the National Security Council, and prior to that he held senior policy positions on the White House's National Economic Council and Council on Environmental Quality.
