Abstract For n ≥ 1 , the group U 6 n = 〈 a , b : a 2 n = b 3 = 1 , a − 1 b a = b − 1 〉 has order 6n. We prove that there is no orthogonal basis of decomposable symmetrized tensors for the symmetry classes of tensors associated with the non-linear irreducible characters of U 6 n . Moreover, the dimensions of these symmetry classes are also given.
