Abstract BiPO4 decorated with Ni–Fe Layered double hydroxide (BiPO4@Ni–Fe LDH) was synthesized and applied as a catalyst for aldol condensation of carbonyl compounds and aldehydes with good yield in glycerin as a green solvent. The catalytic performance of BiPO4@Ni–Fe LDH compared with BiPO4 and Ni–Fe LDH as a catalyst for aldol condensation. Also, the BiPO4@Ni–Fe LDH was recovered and reutilized for at least five runs without significant loss of catalytic activity.
