Abstract Anatase TiO2 nanodrums with exposed curved surface were composited with two-dimensional MoS2 to form a heterojunction. This curved surface TiO2/MoS2 photocatalyst has 80% improvement on photocatalytic activity than that of pristine curved surface TiO2 nanodrums. The experimental result confirms that the curved surface of TiO2 is more suitable to composite MoS2 for improving the photocatalytic performance. This work demonstrates the significance of crystal faces choose in the construct heterojunction with semiconductors.
