Abstract On the basis of a single-coil coherent Fourier radio spectrometer without carrier frequency conversion a simulation model of pulsed method for nuclear quadrupole resonance observation is proposed. In case of resonance conditions excitation by a short single δ-pulse it is suggested that NQR-subsystem of the spectrometer should be represented by a generalized transfer characteristic. Computer simulation of signal transformations of free induction signal and spin echo in the paths of pulsed Fourier radio spectrometer with sine and noise excitation of NQR in InSe for spin transition ±3/2 ↔ ±5/2 is performed. The method and algorithm for express-identification of NQR spectra are proposed that lie in resonance excitation by short noise pulses and digital processing of the resulting data.
