Abstract The abundant multilingual content on the Internet, in addition to English translation, urges us to develop information retrieval systems that can cross language boundaries. This cross-language information retrieval system fills this language gap, allows users to query, and searches for related documents in different languages of the local language. The problem of finding related documents that are different from the source language is the most challenging application in any cross-language search. The proposal describes an online English translation based on FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) compared to most off-the-shelf methods. This translator can perform the conversion in software rather than in hardware. To achieve rapid translation, the FPGA interface on the Internet of Things has been revised to perform rapid translation. The system discusses the contribution of the individual components of the system and the development of a cross-language information retrieval system in English and another language. This article describes the contribution of each component to the system and the complete online English translation cross-language information retrieval system development process.
