Abstract Addressed herein, a multicomponent transition metal dichalcogenide (TMDC), MoS2–WS2–CoSx, was synthesized by a simple hydrothermal procedure and hybridized with graphene oxide (GO). The novel nanohybrid material was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and energy dispersive X-ray elemental analysis (EDX) techniques and also scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images. The nanohybrid was used as an effective and stable electrocatalyst for modification of the glassy carbon electrode (GCE) for simultaneous determination of two huge drug molecules, prednisolone and rutin, in the body fluid samples. The fabricated sensor detected prednisolone and rutin with wide concentration ranges from 0.5-280 nM and 6-220nM, respectively, and low detection limits about 0.06 and 1.2nM and considerable sensitivities equal 0.558 and 0.093µA/nM, respectively.
