Abstract Mesoporous silicalite-1 zeolites with large mesopore volume have been synthesized with the assisting of CO2 solvent. X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images show that mesoporous silicalite-1 zeolites have good crystallinity. N2 sorption isotherm and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) images indicate the mesoporous silicalite-1 zeolites have mesopores. Catalytic tests for the vapor phase Beckmann rearrangement of cyclohexanone oxime show that mesoporous silicalite-1 zeolites have high conversion of cyclohexanone oxime and selectivity of e-caprolactam compared with conventional silicalite-1 zeolites.
