Abstract The solubility of 2,3,5,4′-tetrahydroxystilbene-2-O-β-D-glucoside (THSG) was measured in nine organic solvents (methanol, ethanol, n-propanol, i-propanol, ethyl acetate, acetone, acetonitrile, N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF), and tetrahydrofuran (THF)) in the temperature range 278.15 to 318.15 K at atmosphere pressure by the gravimetrical method. In the temperature range considered, the solubility of THSG in all of the solvents increases with increasing temperature. At a given temperature, the solubility of THSG in the different solvents is in the order DMF > THF > acetone > methanol > ethanol > n-propanol > i-propanol > ethyl acetate > acetonitrile. The solubility data of THSG are well correlated with the modified Apelblat equation, Buchowski–Ksiązczak λh equation, and Van't Hoff equation. The correlation shows good agreement with the experimental results, and the largest values of the relative average deviation and root-mean-square deviation are 2.37 × 10−2 and 4.53 × 10−4, respectively. The apparent dissolution enthalpy and excess enthalpy of the solutions were also investigated.
