Abstract The reaction of Glycinehydroxamic acid (H2glyha) ligand, Cu(OAc)2·H2O and Dy(NO3)3·6H2O afforded an intriguing bell-like 15-Metallacrown-5 complex [Dy(OAc)Cu5(glyha)5(H2O)4]·2NO3·4H2O, which exhibit a cyclic [CuGly]5 frame and a Dy(III) ion is located… Click to show full abstract

Abstract The reaction of Glycinehydroxamic acid (H2glyha) ligand, Cu(OAc)2·H2O and Dy(NO3)3·6H2O afforded an intriguing bell-like 15-Metallacrown-5 complex [Dy(OAc)Cu5(glyha)5(H2O)4]·2NO3·4H2O, which exhibit a cyclic [CuGly]5 frame and a Dy(III) ion is located at the center of the ring with the help of ring five oxygen atoms in the equatorial plane. Magnetic studies reveal complex 1 shows antiferromagnetic coupling interactions and field-induced slow magnetic relaxation.
