Abstract In this paper we study the global existence of strong solutions to the 2D and 3D nonhomogeneous incompressible magnetohydrodynamic equations in a bounded domain. Our proofs are based on the combination of the regularity criterion and an abstract bootstrap argument, which provides a new way to establish the global well-posedness of strong solutions.
