Abstract A method is presented to determine the focal lengths of thermal lenses and the beam waist of an intracavity-pumped dual-wavelength narrow-linewidth laser in the laser gain medium. In this method, two thermal lenses are introduced in the laser system, and the thermo-stable resonator is investigated after confirming the radius of the wave surface of a Gaussian beam R or spot size value ω based on σ and π circles. The transformation circle theory is used in this analysis, and the relationship between the fundamental-mode spot size in two gain mediums and the thermodynamic factor 1 / f t is obtained. The effect of the thermal lens on the output power is also measured and analyzed. Finally, a thermo-stable resonator for an intracavity-pumped narrow-linewidth dual-wavelength laser is developed by analyzing the dynamic stability zone with the two thermal lenses.
