A number of food additives may be putting children's health at risk according to a new technical report and policy statement by the American Academic of Pediatrics. The technical report identifies bisphenols, phthalates and nitrates/nitrites as additives with evidence of concern. The statement calls for more rigorous governmental testing and regulation of chemicals used as food additives.
