Abstract In the present paper, we discuss the so-called stripe phase of two-dimensional systems observed in computer simulation of a core-softened system and in some experiments with colloidal films. We have shown that stripe phase is actually an oblique crystal and found out its unit vectors, i.e. we give a full description of the structure of this crystalline phase.
