Abstract CAREM is an Argentine project aimed to achieve the development, design and construction of an innovative small and integrated nuclear power plant. Some of the unique characteristics of CAREM-25 are integrated primary cooling system, self-pressurized, primary cooling by natural circulation, and safety systems based on passive specifications. In the present study neutronic evaluation of the CAREM-25 is discussed. Neutronic calculations are performed using WIMS, CITATION and MCNPX codes. Neutronic parameters such as effective multiplication factor, thermal and fast neutron flux distributions are discussed. Comparison of the results of CITATION and MCNPX codes show that the effective multiplication factor and the behavior of neutron flux distributions have an appropriate consistency.
