Abstract This work presents the one-pot, four component reaction for the synthesis and characterization of various spiro[indeno[1,2-b]quinoxaline-11,4-pyran]-2′-amine via ninhydrin, 1,2-phenylenediamine, malononitrile or ethylcyanoacetate and α-methylenecarbonyl compounds under reflux conditions by using NiFe2O4/Ag3PO4 as a novel magnetically reusable nanocatalyst. The structure and composition of NiFe2O4/Ag3PO4 were recognized by Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometry (FT-IR), scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM).
