Abstract This paper investigated the vibration levels of curved library footbridge that is located in a composite structure building in the center of Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) induced by human. Operational modal analysis (OMA) through ambient vibration test was performed to extract the structural dynamic properties (frequencies, damping ratios and mode shapes) using data driven stochastic subspace identification (DD-SSI) algorithm in time domain. The unbiased modal parameters were identified by using proper signal pre-processing. Finally, this study considers conducting the OMA of JUST library footbridge to identify with confidence the full modal properties (damping ratios, frequencies, and mode shapes) in the frequency range up to 50 Hz and for seven modes.
