In her laboratory at the Institut de Recherche pour le Développement in Montpellier, France, Anna Cohuet studies the interactions betweenmalaria parasites and their mosquito vectors with the goal of blocking Plasmodium transmission to humans. The emergence of insecticideresistantmosquitoes is consideredamajor threat to malaria control, but, in this interview, Anna explains why we should not be soquick todismiss insecticidesasameans to reduce malaria transmission.
