Abstract For solution of the reactor spectrum errors problem we propose an alternative way: to use the developed ν ¯ e -source in which the 8Li nuclei (created in reactor neutron flux and fast β−-decaying with emission of hard ν ¯ e with energy up to 13 MeV) are transported from the reactor to the remote neutrino detector and removed back for the next 7Li activation. The analyses of errors of the total ν ¯ e -spectrum (from reactor ν ¯ e plus from 8Li) confirmed: owing to the well defined hard ν ¯ e -spectrum of 8Li the count errors of the total ν ¯ e -spectrum can be diminished in two times and more.
