Abstract A high average power 1064 nm Nd:YAG nanosecond Innoslab amplifier was constructed by using multi-mirror hybrid resonator cavity. In the compact configuration, a 40 W seed laser has been amplified to 210 W of average output power with 11.6-ns pulse width and 100 kHz of pulse frequency. The beam quality M 2 at maximum output power was 1.77 and 2 along the stable and unstable directions, respectively. With only 7-pass single-stage amplification, the system exhibited 19.5% of optical conversion efficiency. The stability of the amplifier was measured for 1 h and found to be 0.9%.
