Iceland. In this issue of the digital version of the Scandinavian Journal f Pain we publish the abstracts presented at a successful annual ongress of SASP in Aalborg, Denmark, April 27–28, 2017. Sixty hree abstracts were presented by SASP-members and other pain esearchers, representing the interest and competency of both asic science and clinical pain researchers in the Nordic countries. he abstracts indicate an increase in the understanding of painechanisms, and improvements in evidence-based management f our many patients suffering from both acute and chronic pain. The topics of this year’s meeting, which was held in collabration with the Danish IASP Chapter, were Neuroplasticity and ost-operative Pain.
