Abstract A graphite disk resonator antenna is numerically analyzed and ultra-wideband response is obtained by exciting the higher order transverse magnetic modes. The physical parameters of antenna can be set to obtain either ultra-wideband or wide dual-band response. The antenna provides the 100% impedance bandwidth which can further be extended by changing the physical parameters of the graphite disk resonator.
