h 0 The American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma (ACCOT) is the oldest standing committee of the American College of urgeons. It was established in 1922 and has made a continuous ffort since then to improve the care of injured patients through a ariety of programs. With the National Trauma Data Bank (NTDB) nd the Trauma Quality Improvement Program (TQIP) in particular, he ACSCOT have established a database that is one of the leading erformance improvement tools for trauma care that is utilized for oth research and quality improvement for trauma centers across he United States ( Table ).
