Abstract A concise and efficient process for the preparation of functional 2-pyridyl oxime ethers from oximes and pyridine N-oxide has been developed. This reaction promoted by the N O activating agent-PyBroP is proceeded well under mild conditions. A serious of aromatic ketone and aldehyde oximes readily attack to 2-position of pyridine N-oxide giving the corresponding pyridine oxime ethers in good to excellent yields.
