Abstract For some productive and closed hereditary classes C in Hausdorff topological spaces a cardinal κ will be obtained such that every continuous map on a limit of an inverse system in C into a given space can be factorized via a limit of a subsystem of cardinality less than κ. Large cardinals will be needed to get some general results.
