Full Text Tables and Figures References Patient-reported statin intolerance, predominantly due to statin-associated muscle symptoms (SAMS), is a common and difficult-to-manage condition affecting millions of patients worldwide. Different expert panels have proposed various definitions and classifications for statin intolerance.
