• Lisdexamfetamine dimesylate (LDX) is a long-acting prodrug stimulant for the treatment of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). – SPD489-404 (ClinicalTrials.gov: NCT01328756) was a 2-year, openlabel study of the safety and efficacy of LDX in children and adolescents with ADHD in Europe.1 • The European Medicines Agency recommends neurocognitive assessments in long-term studies of ADHD medications.2 • The Cambridge Neuropsychological Test Automated Battery (CANTAB) is a suite of computer-based cognitive assessments that is sensitive to the cognitive effects of psychoactive drugs3,4 and cognitive dysfunction in people with ADHD.5
