Julian Le Grand is Professor of Social Policy at the Marshall Institute, London School of Economics. He is the author of twenty books and more than one hundred refereed journal articles in economics, philosophy and public policy. His most recent book is Government Paternalism: Nanny State or Helpful Friend? (Princeton University Press 2015). His scholarship focuses on the economics of multiple objectives.
