COVID-19 disease, which ravaged the whole world, did not spare Zimbabwe, and this led the nation to declare it a national disaster in March 2020. The pandemic affected the nation economically, politically, socially, and psychologically, leading it to adopt preventive measures like use of national lockdowns, continual screening and testing, social distancing, and quarantine. Some of the measures were very effective; however, some could not fit well in the local contexts.
