To the Editor; We were intrigued to read an interesting research published recently in Journal of Perinatology on early transpyloric feeding (TPF) [1]. TPF, once upon a time a popular procedure among neonatologists in the 1980s, has currently been restricted to cases of proven or suspected gastroesophageal reflux or prolonged feed intolerance due to safety concerns and its cumbersome nature [2]. However, some general concerns needing clarification for its applicability in a wider population are listed below:
