0123456789();: prognostic value in NMIBC. High infiltration of different types of T lymphocytes (T helper cells, cytotoxic T lymphocytes and regulatory T cells) was independently associated with a low risk of disease recurrence compared with low infiltration. High PD1 expression within the stromal region of interest (SROI) was the strongest independent predictor of recurrence (SROI P.adjust* ≤ 0.001). High PD1 and PDL1 expression was also independently associated with a higher risk of progression (PD1: CROI P.adjust* = 0.004, SROI P.adjust* = 0.012; PDL1: CROI P.adjust* = 0.0002, SROI P.adjust* = 0.23).
