The article focuses on the daylight saving time (DST) started in the U.S. in 1918 and its adoption by several countries, along with a graph on the same. It states that the one-hour shift prevents a sunrise from taking place too early, and the U.S. government also plans to save energy by adding natural light to evenings. Some studies have shown higher rates of heart attacks and traffic accidents among people who set their clocks forward.
