A new strategy to synthesize hierarchical porous Prussian blue analogues uses nanodomains as the template in a partially miscible ionic liquid/ethanol system, especially near the phase boundary, is developed and the pore size is tuned by controlling the composition of solution in the single phase region. The as-synthesized hierarchical porous catalysts exhibit excellent catalytic performance in the epoxidation of styrene.
