TiO2 nanoparticles grown on MoS2/N-doped graphitic carbon were demonstrated to be efficient noble-metal-free photocatalysts for H2 production from lignocellulosic biomass, and the H2 generation rate from wheat straw, corncob, polar wood chip, bamboo, rice hull, corn straw and rice straw aqueous solution respectively reaches 4.9, 6.7, 11.7, 14.5, 8.4, 7.3 and 6.2 μmol g-1 h-1.
