Although symptoms (Class I) are the most common indicators for AVR according to current guidelines, they were strong predictors of all-cause mortality. In contrast, asymptomatic patients with normal LV function (Class II) exhibited very low 30-day mortality and enjoyed excellent survival rates up to 10 years after surgery.
