This article examines the penetration of a magnetic field into a high-temperature type-II superconductor that is in a viscous flow regime and in an external magnetic field. Analytical formulas are obtained for the depth and rate of the magnetic field penetration into the superconductor as a function of the problem parameters, particularly the exponent n that characterizes the rate of vortex penetration into the superconducting half-space.
