A transitional flow regime is known to induce complex flow structures upon aerodynamic geometries such as airfoils, and the dynamics of laminar separation bubbles (LSBs) pose a relevant research field. In addition to being affected by the Reynolds value itself, LSBs are shown to be equally sensitive to the surface roughness of the airfoils. The study analyses wind tunnel-derived surface-pressure distribution datasets obtained for a particular airfoil of the standard family developed by the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA), namely, the NACA0021, subjected to the range 0.8×104
