A 61 year-old male with chronic atrial fibrillation (AF) and previous major gastrointestinal bleeding under oral anticoagulation was referred to our institution for percutaneous left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO). Pre-procedural cardiac computed tomography disclosed a complex retrobend chicken-wing anatomy with a landing zone of 21mm (Figure 1(a)).
