Abstract This work is devoted to computer simulations of a viscoelastic media heating by standing cylindrical ultrasonic waves generated inside a cylindrical piezoelectric transducer with radial polarization. The transducer is assumed to operate on wall-thickness vibrational mode. Acoustic simulations were performed with the aid of two software packages: k-wave (acoustic simulations) and FeniCS (thermal simulations).
