Alexey Miller’s review of my book Brothers or Enemies: The Ukrainian National Movement and Russia from the 1840s to the 1870s (Scando-Slavica 63:2, 231– 34) contains very many inaccuracies. I find it necessary to correct them in order to counteract false information being disseminated about my book. Professor Miller writes that I consider Mychajlo Maksymovyč a modern nationalist. However, in my book, I explicitly reject the statement which Miller claims that I support:
