Abstract The industrial and environmental challenges have attracted considerable interest in different conducting polymer based bio nanocomposite for different applications. These composites are comprised of natural, synthetic and conducting polymer along with different inorganic compounds with at least one of them in size of nano scale as well as biological in origin. They showed unique structure, functionality, conductivity, processability, responsivity, biocompatibility and biodegradability. It makes them suitable for use in biomedical and other applications like agriculture practices and analytical science. The present article discusses the recent efforts, findings and scientific challenges in preparation along with their applications in different technologies. Graphical Abstract
