International Medical University (IMU) has a strong commitment to the development of high quality and innovative health education programs. Therefore, it is not surprising that this commitment has translated into research into learning, teaching, curriculum development and assessment. This commitment is evident across the University and in all degree programs. Researchers have demonstrated a strong commitment to improving educational outcomes for students and the institution, and to communicate their findings through various professional academic networks. As IMU has grown, the range of programs increased, and through the resources of the IMU Centre for Education, educational research is an important element of the philosophy of the University. This IMU supplement represents a sample of the research within the university and across the health education programs. Much of this research has been informed by questions requiring answers from within programs, or through a desire to test innovations within their context. All of this research helps to improve the quality of programs, and the learning and teaching experiences for students and teachers. This supplement also reflects the commitment of the academic teachers who have invested their time and effort to becoming health educators within the institution. Back in early 2019 when this publishing project began the world was a very different place to what we now see. Neither of us were employed by IMU although IW is now. We have both had a long relationship with IMU through our work in partner universities. The innovations developed by IMU have had a significant impact locally and internationally. These papers reflect those innovations. The published papers in this supplement demonstrate a range of methodologies and areas of investigation which reflect questions that are often to the benefit of the teachers and the University. All of the published papers have been peer reviewed according to the processes within Medical Teacher, and we thank the reviewers for their contribution to this process.
